Anyone else a super fan of the vegan ice-cream, Yococo? ๐ŸฆUs too! ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿพ
We chatted to founder and total Boss Babe, Sine Ndlela about her journey creating the coveted vegan treat:

Tell us about the start of Yococo, how did inspiration strike?

I started Yococo in 2016 and this was when I was going through a journey of purpose and I wanted to eliminate animal products from my diet the challenge with this is my love for ice cream, so I decided to start Yococo.

What is your approach to taking risks?

I know that without risk I won’t grow and thatโ€™s how life is sometimes. I believe in weighing out your options first and seeing if what you are risking is worth the potential outcome. I also think it’s important to make peace with the potential of failure.

What advice would you give to young female entrepreneurs?

I think I need to hear this too, failure is not the worst thing that can happen to you.

How would you describe your go-to โ€˜power outfit?โ€™

I have decided to wear mostly black I read about how minimizing the decisions you have to make on small things can actually free up space for bigger decisions. My power outfit has to have frills or pleats somewhere and I also have to wear something with Zulu beads and it has to be well-fitted.

Who is your female mentor/role model?

I am so lucky I have so many mentors and all for different reasons but for this one, Iโ€™ll go with my mom. She is so driven, independent and she is on top of things, she gets things done I really admire that.

What do you do for you?

I cook myself nice meals and watch Netflix, I also buy myself wine and good books.

How do you measure success?

If I managed to do what I set out to do even if it’s not in the time I thought it would be, I value it a success.

One thing you would like to change in your current work environment?

I would like to do away with 30-day payment terms.

The best book youโ€™ve ever read?

Nervous Conditions by Tsitsi Dangarembga this book helped me through such a certain phase in my life.
